Following detailed discussions with all parties concerned, the APC Executive Board today announced that it has decided to postpone the 4th Asian Para Games, which was scheduled to be held in Hangzhou from 9 to 15 October 2022. The name and the emblem of the Games will remain unchanged. The new dates for the Games will be announced after further discussions between the APC, the National Paralympic Committee of China (Chinese NPC) and HAPGOC.

Since winning the bid to host the 4th Asian Para Games, HAPGOC has been making steady progress in its preparations for the Games, with help from, and under the guidance of, the APC and the Chinese NPC, despite the challenges brought about by COVID-19. Although the Games has been postponed, the APC, the Chinese NPC and HAPGOC will continue the preparations to ensure the success of the Hangzhou Asian Para Games.
